Overview

Samana is located in the north eastern part of the Dominican Republic. It is known for its mountains, natural parks and numerous beaches and is considered to be one of the most beautiful places in the Dominican Republic.

Imagine: tropical forests, coconut groves, hundreds of cozy alcove beaches with turquoise crystal clear waters, waterfalls, protected national parks, a protected pristine bay and peninsula.

Samana is also one of the places where humpback whales have selected to use as a breeding sanctuary. Thousands of whales come to the coast off of Samana for the breeding season, from January to March.
